Click here for a flyer for "Cooking Matters" which is a series of classes developed for low-income families. The class meets once a week for six weeks from five to seven p.m. at Silverado Cooking School (1552 Silverado Trail). A Registered Dietitian teaches the nutritional portion of the class and a Chef teaches the culinary arts portion of the class. Together as a group, we all cook and eat what we prepared that particular evening. Participants are sent home with groceries to make the recipe at their home.
