Student Tardies

Our students are late for school and class more now than ever before.  Being tardy disrupts the learning of others and it is a violation of California Educational Code that states that a student needs to be in your chair ready for work when class begins.

Some of you have received the phone message at home every time your student is tardy.  But did you know what happens next?  Here are the consequences:

5th cummulative tardy = Behavior Tracker (mild)

10th cumulative tardy = Behavior Tracker (moderate), 10 days without off grounds privileges, must sit at designated table in Cyber Cafe for lunch, SART Session Friday.

15th cumulative tardy = Behavior Tracker (severe), SART Letter #2 with parent/guardian conference and mandatory Saturday Clean Up,  SART Session on Friday, no off grounds privilege for thirty school days, sit at designated table in Cyber Cafe for lunch.

Every five tardies thereafter = Behavior Tracker (severe), parent/guardian conference, loss of off grounds privilege until the end of the semester, sit at designated table in Cyber Cafe for lunch.

Three tardies in one week (Thursday thru Wednesday) = SART Session, no off ground privilege for ten days,

sit at designated table in Cyber Cafe for lunch.
We understand that often it is the fault of the parent/guardian to get their student to school on time. If you are responsible to get them to school on time, please be more diligent.

Thank you.
