G-Dog's inspirational subjects Louis Perez and Hector Verdugo will be in attendance for Q&A and extended discussion with LEGACY students and the community at large about gangs in Napa and Homeboy Industries

About The Film: The film focuses on Father Greg Boyle (G-Dog), a white Jesuit priest who’s spent 25 years in the toughest part of East LA, and who built Homeboy Industries to serve high-risk, formerly gang-involved men and women with a continuum of free services and programs; and that operates seven social enterprises that serve as job-training sites. And then there’s the tough, street smart, and amazing youth and adults—all former gang members—whom G-Dog helps and loves, and who love him in return. Father Greg’s remedy for what he calls “a global sense of failure” for kids at-risk is radical and simple: boundless, restorative love. His compassion has turned around the lives of thousands of Latino, Asian and African American gang members.
