To Kill a Mocking Bird

Hello New Tech Parents! If you haven't met me yet, my name is Anne Seveska, and I am the American Studies English teacher here at our wonderful New Tech. I am trying my best to expose our kids to the American classics on a nonexistent budget (except for the wonderful contribution from LaStrada that is earmarked for a field trip to the WWII Liberty Ship in San Francisco). It came to my attention that almost none of our students have read Harper Lee's classic novel To Kill a Mockingbird. My co-teacher, Stephen Federico, and I are reworking our next project in an attempt to make sure that our students read this moving tale about racial and socioeconomic inequalities during the depression. So, to stock my classroom, I am looking for old, used copies of Harper Lee's classic novel To Kill a Mockingbird. If someone is willing to donate a copy to my classroom that would be much appreciated, because I do not have a budget to buy books. Think of the warmth you would have knowing that you had helped our, already amazing, New Tech students become more aware by reading this book! The good karma flowing your way would be overwhelming! I will take any version in any condition. If I had one wish, it would be to find 100 copies of this book, but any number of copies will help. Please email me at anne.seveska@newtechhigh.org if you can assist. THANK YOU!
