Dear Parents, We hope your families have had a happy/healthy summer. As we begin the new school year, here are a few reminders:
First, thank you for turning in required immunization records and other health forms!
Next, in an effort to prevent the spread of contagious conditions, please remember to keep sick children at home until they feel well for at least 24 hours. This means free from: fever (without fever-reducing medication), vomiting, diarrhea, and able to fully participate in classroom activities. While most of these illnesses are not serious and usually last just a few days, some symptoms warrant a call to your pediatrician. When in doubt about any symptoms that cause you concern for your child: call your pediatrician's office for advice.
We appreciate your calls to the school office when your child must stay home from school. Please let us know their symptoms and if they have seen their doctor. If needed for an extended illness (more than 3 days) please provide a doctor's clearance for return to school..
Sincerely,
Nurse Carole
Note: If your child is going to miss school due to illness please call the NTHS Attendance Line first thing in the morning at 707-259-8490. Thank you!
