Message from the Principal

Hello Everyone,
As this school year zooms by, our students continue to thrive and to be actively
involved in school.
Progress Reports:  Friday, February 13th is the last day of the first grading period for spring semester.  We urge you to check with your students to submit all work assigned.  Progress report grades should be in the mail to you within 7 – 10 days.
Super Saturday:  Saturday, February 7th is the second Super Saturday of spring semester.  With progress reports just around the corner, this is a great opportunity for students to take advantage of the extra help in their courses and the resources at New Tech to work on or complete projects.  Super Saturday takes place from 8:15 am – 12:30 pm.
State of the School:  Monday, February 9th from 6:30 pm – 8:00 pm in the Cyber CafĂ©.  Come find out what we have been up to this year.  Topics include, but are not limited to:  new principal search, internship, health & wellness of our students, FONT and Parent Penguin Club and how their efforts impact the school and our students learning.  Hope to see you there!
Minimum Day:  Tuesday, February 10th is a minimum day for New Tech students and a Professional Development Day for staff.  Classes will end at 11:16 and the Servery will be open for 30 minutes for lunch.
Mock Trial:  Now in its third year, New Tech's Mock Trial Team is off to its strongest start ever. With wins over both Napa and Vintage, they reach the halfway point in their competition season as strong contenders for the county championship. Consider attending one of their two remaining trials (2/17 and 2/25), or sending your student, especially if you think he/she might be interested in this opportunity in the future. Trials begin at 6:00 pm sharp and take place at the Napa County Courthouse, 1111 - 3rd Street, Napa. Dress professionally for a court of law, and remember that audience decorum can affect team scores. Hope to see you!
As always, New Tech is up to plenty!
Until next month, it's a great day to be a Penguin!
Kathy, Interim Principal
