The Napa Valley Community Foundation would like to congratulate 11th grade New Tech High School students, Alexander Dover and Ami Ambu, for winning first and second place in the Napa Valley Community Foundation Khan Academy Scholarship Fund essay contest.
High school juniors and seniors in Napa Valley were invited to answer the question "How will education shape the future of Napa Valley?" Alexander's insightful essay earned him first place and a $2,500 scholarship. Ami's outstanding essay earned her second place and a $1,000 scholarship. Both were recognized at the Napa Valley Community Foundation's 20th Anniversary event with Sal Khan in the Lincoln Theatre on Friday, September 26.
