Dear Parents and Guardians,
The amount of students that are tardy to school and tardy to classes during the day has decreased significantly over the past year. Congratulations to you and the students for taking responsibility for their education and show respect to their peers and teachers by being responsible to show up on time.
Here is our next challenge; one that you can help out with in a significant way. There has been a huge upswing in absences, particularly excused absences. Even more glaring is that the majority of these are taking place on Fridays. Another interesting phenomenon is the number of all day absences due to doctor's appointments.
The attached documents come from our district Child Welfare and Attendance Director to provide you with more information. Please take a look at this information. Students do their best when they have high attendance at school.
