Dear New Tech Families,
Thank you to those of you who helped make Thursday's Holiday Luncheon so festive for our students. Please check out our Facebook page for pictures of the luncheon and of Friday's Student "Talent / No Talent Show." It is inspiring to see our students entertain each other and celebrate each other. We took a moment of silence to honor those who's lives have been turned upside-down in Connecticut this morning. My thoughts are with all of you and those on the East Coast. I am so thankful to be a part of the New Tech community, and wish all of you warmest thoughts over the three week holiday. Enjoy your time with family and friends, keep each other safe, and celebrate all that is good in your lives. Thank you for sharing your children with us every day at school!
Your student's final Fall Semester grades / transcripts will be mailed home to you over the break. Along with the transcript, many of you will be receiving a special invitation to an awards ceremony in January called, "New Tech Celebrates Success." All are invited to join us on Thursday, January 31st, at New Tech (check in starts at 6:30 pm). We will be recognizing students who took the CSTs at New Tech last year and (1) scored "Proficient or Advanced" in 3 subjects or (2) showed two levels growth in English and/or math (or one level growth in English and one level growth in math). It should be a simple and happy celebration, and it will include a $50 academic scholarship for each honoree, that will be available to him or her during their Senior Year (as long as they are still enrolled at New Tech).
School resumes on Monday, January 7th at 8:00 am.
