Dear Friends,
I hope you are enjoying the first weeks of school. The spirit of collaboration is alive and well as I visit classrooms and school events. As you know, we need engaged families as partners to inspire students to succeed in school and the real world.
I encourage you to attend an important community conversation on Tuesday, October 9, 2012. With help from our partners, NVEA, CTA, and the Napa Valley Education Foundation, we will ask parents to assist us with the district’s mission for all students to succeed in College and Careers in the 21st Century. We will also ask parents how we can better engage families in our schools. There will be a follow up community forum on December 11th to report back to parents the results from October 9th. Thanks to CTA/NVEA grants and our Napa Valley Education Foundation, dinner and child care will be provided.
Patrick J. Sweeney, Ed. D.
Superintendent
Napa Valley Unified School District
