New Tech Parents,
Well here we are, it's already the middle of September. Your students are all involved in some projects, and September 21st will mark the end of the first grading period. If you have any questions or concerns regarding your students grades, now is a great time to contact your student's teachers. Here is a link to all staff email addresses.
I would like to invite you to join me at a "Coffee with the Principal" here at New Tech this Monday, September 17th from 8:15 until 9:30 am. This is an informal drop in session, where you can meet other New Tech parents, and ask me questions or share suggestions. We will have tech support available to help you get set up with an Echo account so that you can access all your students assignments, grades, and behavioral reports.
We have tutoring help available for your student. Starting Monday, September 17th our after school program, called The Hub, opens every Monday through Thursday from 3:00-5:00 pm. New Tech students may hang out in The Hub, or they can work out in our gym, or they can get peer tutoring assistance with homework. At this time, The Hub is open to New Tech students only. Extra math tutoring also is available on Wednesdays for the rest of September, in Room P-4, with adult tutors from SurferMath. Please encourage your student to take advantage of this extra help.
Thank you to all families who contributed to our Family Giving program. We have not yet reached fifty percent participation from our families, and are hoping you will consider making a contribution of $500. If you can give more, it makes a huge difference, and if you can't give $500, we appreciate that you contribute whatever you can. Donations can be brought to the New Tech office any time. We appreciate having the opportunity to educate your student, and strive to have them embody our values of Trust, Respect, Responsibility and Professionalism.
