Hello! We are only 2 months away from graduation! Between now and June 5th, there are numerous important deadlines and events for 12th graders and their families. Please review the following bullet pointed list and make sure to mark your calendars for these upcoming dates and requirements. We have listed the dates in chronological order and have aimed to make it as comprehensive as possible. We will notify you of additional dates, as necessary. If you have any questions, please contact NTHS School Principal, Michelle Spencer, at 707-259-8557. Also, be sure and regularly check the the parent info blog at: newtechparentbulletin.
- All 12th graders were required to successfully complete all of their senior Internship requirements by the final deadline, which was Friday, March 9th by 4 p.m. Hopefully, your student made the deadline and is basking in the joy of an internship project well done. Please check with your student and make sure he/she made the March 9th deadline. If a student did not make this deadline, his/her ability to qualify for scholarships and to participate in special senior activities, such as graduation, is in jeopardy. In addition, if your student did not make this final Internship deadline, his/her Internship final grade will be lowered by one letter grade. Since Internship is a New Tech High graduation requirement, students must successfully complete all Internship requirements in order to graduate and receive a diploma from New Tech High.
- There will be no school THIS Friday, April 6th.
- Our annual school Open House (otherwise known as Parents on Campus Day!) will be held on Monday, April 9th from 8 a.m.-3 p.m. this year. We invite you to shadow your student(s) during the school day and to attend a variety of informative and useful workshops. There will be a free hot dog lunch for all students and parents. Please RSVP and let us know if you will attend. For your convenience, the RSVP form is embedded in this parent bulletin, just scroll down below to the entry dated Thursday, March 15th and input your response! As an alternative method of RSVP'ing, you may go to http://bit.ly/rsvpNT2012 or call our front office at 707-259-8557. Thank you.

Did you know that the proceeds from this event will go to support this year's Senior Prom? Ask your senior how he/she is getting involved to help make this fundraising event a success. Please ask your 12th grade student if he/she is "on track" and keeping his/her senior project blog updated. Senior Project is worth 10% of your student's Political Studies class grade. If your student passes his/her senior project, his/her Political Studies class grade will go up by 10%.
- Wednesday, May 16th is the date Napa Valley College grade verification forms are due to Mrs. Cherrington at New Tech High. This is a VERY important due date for ALL seniors. These forms help New Tech verify that your student has passed his/her college classes so that he/she may graduate on time.
