Dear Families,
Thank you to all of you who assisted us with our accreditation visit (WASC) last week. Our self study report will guide our focus on student learning for the next six years. The visiting team was very impressed with all our parents, students and staff at New Tech. Their parting words to us were, "You rock!"

On a separate note, we recognize that last week's safety concern was upsetting to many students and parents. In order to help students process the events from last week, our counselor was in classrooms as well as available to students throughout the day. We also hosted a student Q & A at lunch on Thursday, providing students with further clarification about the situation (I was in attendance, as well as Mr Solberg our AP and Mrs Martinez-Ramirex our Counselor), along with approximately 35 students. Additional discussion and Q & A was provided to parents at our PPC meeting on Thursday evening, and at this morning's Coffee with the Principal. Thank you to the parents who came out for this morning's Coffee with the Principal. The next Coffee is on Monday, April 7th at 8:15 am. It will be the final coffee of the 2013-2014 school year.
This Friday the CSPAN video bus and CSPAN team, along with dignataries from our community and members of the press will be at our school to award three students who earned 3rd place on their video in a national competition. Feel free to join us Friday at 9:00 am in the Cyber Cafe. Here is the link for more information about the contest and our winners.
