Message from the Principal

Dear Parents,

Today all 9th, 10th and 11th graders were given information about how to register for their courses next year. Every student should be sharing his or her plan, the Course Request Card (needs to be signed by a parent), a letter from me, and a complete course catalogue with you tonight. Completed Course Request Cards are due as soon as possible, but not later than Friday, March 7th.

If you are the parent of a Senior, and if your senior had a "D" or an "F" on last week's progress report, your student is hand-carrying home to you a letter which explains that attendance at Friday Session "C" is now a requirement. Our goal is to make sure your senior is getting the extra study and collaboration time, and teacher support needed to graduate. Attendance at school on Fridays, until 3:00, is madatory for any Senior with a D or F. Please ask your Senior to show you the letter from me, and to return it to the office immediately. Thanks for supporting your student academically and ensuring they attend all Fridays until 3:00 pm.

March 9th through March 12th will be big days for our staff, as we will be visited by an accreditation team from WASC. Every six years, all schools must go through a self study in order to maintain their accreditation. We feel confident that the visitors will be impressed with our students and our academic program. Thank you to all of you who have been a part of this process, or who have agreed to help us out the week of March 9th! We appreciate you.

Stay safe, warm and dry during these wet days!
Sincerely,
Michelle Spencer
