There is a lot going on right now as we wind down the Fall Semester, so I'll try to be succinct:
- Friday, Dec 20th is a minimum day and the last day of our semester
- Dec 20th will also be our student and staff "Talent, No Talent Show"
- Grades in the form of transcripts will be mailed home over the Winter Break
- We return from Winter Break on Monday, January 13th. The office will be closed over the break.
Please encourage your 10th, 11th or 12th grader to take a Napa Valley College class for the Spring Semester. There are nine college classes being offered right here on the New Tech campus. Your student has been emailed a list of all these classes, and they are listed in one of my previous principals messages (scroll down). The NVC Concurrent Enrollment form must be signed by me next week before we leave! The first day to register for classes at NVC is Tuesday, Jan 7th (and we are not in school). Please guide your student to complete the required paperwork asap before we leave!
Today New Tech is participating in a national event called, The Hour of Code. All students will be trying their hand at programming and coding! That will occur from 8:55 to 9:55 am. And tonight is our Winter Formal!
NVUSD and New Technology HS are realigning our curriculum to address the new Common Core State Standards. Here is the NVUSD update on that work district-wide.

Thank you to all the parents who helped make our recent online auction such a success, as well as those of you who donated pies for our Holiday Lunch / Dessert, and who have contributed to tonights Winter Formal. You are such amazing parents! Thanks for all you do to keep our school the best in the country!
Warm Regards, Michelle
