Senior students should all be very close to Internship placement! Some dates to make note of are August 30th- Emergency Contact Form & signed Handbook Acknowledgement. If you haven't seen these forms, you might check with your senior student, as all assignments are graded AND the Handbook Acknowledgement requires a parent signature.
October 25th 2013- the final date for ALL seniors to have their Internship Contract signed. Students must complete all prerequisites and have their Internship approved by me (which requires me to meet with the business in order to approve them) before they can contract with the mentor.
Where is the course Internship? All course requirements, assignments and forms are available on Echo. Since Internship is a year-long course, when checking your students Echo account, please be sure to change the term from "Fall 2013" to Year Course 2013-2014." Leaving the term as "Fall 2013" will result in an "Incomplete" showing as the grade.
Internship requires the student to be proactive and diligent about meeting deadlines. The course is a mandatory graduation requirement and all senior students are enrolled and have a current grade. Since there is no formal class time, students must make time to meet with me in order to coordinate all things Internship.
