Hey folks! This is Student Body President Steven Craig here, and I'm looking for your help in a little event I'm setting up. We don't have all that many fun little events at the school anymore, and I'm trying to rectify that.
To this end, on April 9th & 10th, I'm planning to set up some cheap little plastic tables (quite small, light, portable,) outside on the lawn, put a picnic blanket underneath them, set up some plastic cutlery, a plate, and students, staff, or even any parents who might be interested, can pay a measely $2 to walk up to a table and flip it over with all their might. The students would then reset the tables, rinse, wash, and repeat.
What I'm wondering from you all is if you have any of the little plastic tables I have in mind that you'd be willing to let us use. We will, I promise, be watching over them very carefully, making sure no student goes too far, and we will gladly clean each table thoroughly before returning them to you.
Additionally, if you are interested in lending a table, I'm certain that we can count that as a good two hours of Parent Volunteer time. In fact, if you want to volunteer your time as an in-person supervisor, the event is running after school from 3:00 to 4:30 on April 9th and 10th.
